How to Use a Paddock Ramp: Step-by-Step

A paddock ramp is one of the simplest pieces of motorcycle equipment you will ever use, but doing it wrong the first time is dangerous.

Step 1: Position the ramp on flat ground and lock all four casters.

Step 2: Approach the ramp slowly with the bike, straight-on.

Step 3: Roll the front wheel into the chock until it seats.

Step 4: Apply the front brake gently and put the bike in first gear.

Step 5: Check the bike is sitting straight and stable.

Step 6: Walk away. The ramp holds the bike indefinitely.
