Paddock Stand vs. Paddock Ramp: What’s the Difference?
2 Jun 2026
These two terms get used interchangeably, but they describe fundamentally different pieces of equipment.
A paddock stand works under the swingarm or rear axle and lifts the rear wheel off the ground. It is ideal for maintenance tasks but not for leaving unattended for weeks.
A paddock ramp is a different concept. The wheel rolls into a chock and the bike stands on both tyres, fully supported, perfectly upright, and stable enough to leave indefinitely.
For storage, a paddock ramp wins without contest. For track day use, you typically need both.
The CaVa Racing ramp is designed specifically for storage and display.
